Yes it’s Monday…wah-wah…but when you add cookies into the mix, any day is a HAPPY day!!!  Today I wanted to share with you a very talented chick who is not only utlra creative but super sweet too!!  Lisa of The Cookie Jar makes the most darling and delicious cookies.  I came across Miss Lisa when scouring the pages of Etsy looking for decorated cookies for Blake’s upcoming birthday.  Her page caught my eye when I recognized one of her fabulous designs.  An invitation customer of mine hired Lisa to design cookies based on an invite from Fresh Chick!!  Once I saw this, I knew it was a love connection!!!  I contacted Lisa about custom cookies for Blake’s party and sent her my invitation as inspiration…she loved the penguin and said she would be happy to design a custom order.  She even liked my work so much that she asked if I could design a logo and banner for her Esty Shop!!!  Oh my…of Course I would!!  Well, here are some of Lisa’s awesome designs, along with a little graphic work I did for this amazing chick!!

For those that know me, I am not one for “character themes”  as I have said before, but…I am a sucker for men in fuzzy orange hats?  Basically I wanted to incorporate something that my 2 year old would recognize without over doing it.  I used Yo Gabba Gabba as inspiration for color and incorporated the characters here and there.  So, after much planning I am sad its over but I am ecstatic with how Brandt’s birthday  party turned out.   Lots of love and hard work went into every detail hoping to achieve SOME reaction from the pint-sized guest of honor.  We have success…the next morning he looked on with wide-eyes and nothing can possibly describe the look on his face when he had his first peek into what was in store for his 2nd birthday bash.  I had lots of help putting the final touches on before guests arrived.  Most important detail…must have photos!  Thanks to one of my best chicks, Shannon of Apple Velvet Photography; she was able to shoot some pics before all of the little hands dug into the candy madness.  Thanks Shannon!!  Well here it is!!
